Scott Hirsch is a sound designer, editor and mixer for film and video, musician, and audio engineer. His audio post production credits include: Sundance Film Festival 2010 short "The Visitors", Zero Film Festival Short Film Winner, "Signal From Shore", "Boobie" a comic short starring Elijah Wood, "Solitary Release", starring James Franco and Holmes Osborne, The PBS national documentary “Alcatraz Is Not an Island,” indie festival favorite “Plagues & Pleasures of the Salton Sea”, “Out of The Poison Tree”, a feature documentary by award winning director Beth Pielert, and many other commercial spots for broadcast.

Scott records and plays multiple instruments and with bands Hiss Golden Messenger, The Court & Spark, The Family Band, The Wolfkings, and his own project Dunedin Dunedin.


Music engineering credits include The Family Band, Hiss Golden Messenger, The Court & Spark, The Wolfkings,The Rubies, The Amateurs, and Willow Willow.

As a Digidesign and Apple certified audio instructor, he has led many students down the path to a world of fruitful and productive audio recording. Scott’s seven years of teaching digital audio, including applications such as Pro Tools, Logic, and Reason have brought indispensable knowledge and boundless creativity to his students.

Scott is also the author of “Pro Tools 7, Session Secrets: Professional Recipes for High Octane Results” a Wiley and Sons/Sibex imprint.

Scott currently resides in Brooklyn, New York where he is completing a Master of Music Technology degree at NYU.
